Deadline Approaching for County Staff to Apply for Master’s Program

CalMHSA’s commitment to strengthening and nurturing the county behavioral health workforce is taking shape through Project Cultivate, our partnership with Palo Alto University to support professional development and staff retention. The deadline to apply for September 2023 enrollment is July 30.
Through Project Cultivate, the county covers tuition and fees for a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program for selected staff with the understanding that they will accept a service commitment with the county for a designated length of time.
Full funding
Program awardees receive full funding for the cost of tuition and fees for the entire program, to be completed in nine terms. Additional cost, such as books and supplies, are covered under the student stipend of $10,000.

- Scheduling is comprised of three classes per quarter, offered in the evenings; an interactive, online synchronous classroom; and two in-person, on-campus intensives.
