Project Cultivate helps to forge a strong partnership through a “grow your own” approach: The county pays tuition and fees on behalf of select students, and staff commit to a term of service with the county. The fall 2023 cohort includes five staff from five different counties.

This innovative approach to strengthening the behavioral health workforcepresents a valuable opportunity for every county to remain competitive in recruitment and retention with other behavioral health providers that have launched similar programs.
