Tri-City Mental Health Authority Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Grant Announcement

CalMHSA is excited to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Tri-City Mental Health Authority Community Grant program for a one-time innovative or series of innovative events throughout the Tri-Cities area. Awarded programs will facilitate holistic approaches to mental health that reduce mental health stigma, create access and linkage to community resources, and provide community outreach by facilitating events that target key populations that reside in Pomona, La Verne, and Claremont. All grant applications must be submitted to the CalMHSA e-procurement portal located here by March 21, 2025.

The Tri-City Mental Health Authority, through its Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) component funding is offering community-driven grant events focused on mental health awareness and advocacy during Mental Health Awareness Month (May) and Pride Month (June). The grant opportunity is designed to support marginalized communities with a particular focus on Brown, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+, and other historically underrepresented populations.

Grant proposals should focus on decreasing stigma and discrimination associated with mental health, increasing help seeking behaviors, increasing awareness and access to mental health services and resources, and other activities that address one or more of the Mental Health Services Act Prevention and Early Intervention-identified negative effects of untreated mental illness. The Tri-City Community Grant is currently scheduled from May 1, 2025, through June 30, 2025. Grant amounts range from $5,000 to $10,000 per awardee.

Sonoma County Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Grant Announcement

CalMHSA is excited to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Sonoma County Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Grant Program. Awarded programs focus on developing and implementing community-based programs that reduce mental Health stigma, create access and linkage to community resources, and provide community outreach by facilitating community events that target Sonoma County’s key populations. All grant applications must be submitted to the CalMHSA e-procurement portal located here: by Feb. 28.

Sonoma County Behavioral Health Services is seeking proposals from mission- oriented, diverse, innovative organizations to to promote mental health awareness and well-being. With available grant funds, organizations will engage diverse communities to promote mental health awareness and well-being and foster community connection between individuals and organizations.

Grant proposals should focus on decreasing stigma and discrimination associated with mental health, increasing help seeking behaviors, increasing awareness and access to mental health services and resources, and other activities that address one or more of the Mental Health Services Act PEI-identified negative effects of untreated mental illness. The Sonoma CountyPEI grant is currently scheduled from April 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027. Grant amounts range from $50,000 to $100,000 per awardee.
