CalMHSA is seeking proposals from organizations with significant experience and expertise in developing media buy plans and executing media buys specifically for the Los Angeles County geographic and media market. Applicants should demonstrate a deep understanding of Los Angeles County’s unique landscape and a proven track record of effectively reaching the county’s diverse ethnic, racial, cultural, and geographic audiences. This campaign will be executed on behalf of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) and is scheduled to go live on April 1, 2025, and will run through June 30, 2025.
LACDMH’s mission is to optimize the hope, recovery, and wellbeing of our most vulnerable populations through access to care and resources that promote independence, personal recovery, connectedness, and community reintegration. Our vision is to help those with serious mental illness heal, grow, and flourish by providing access to the right services in the right place from the right people. We want to empower people to help themselves and their loved ones by providing care, connecting them to appropriate resources, or professional support. Our focus is to decrease stigma and discrimination, increase help-seeking behaviors, and enhance awareness of and access to mental health services and resources.
This RFP does not commit CalMHSA to contract for any supply, product or service whatsoever. In addition, applicants are advised that CalMHSA will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFP; all costs associated with responding to this RFP will be solely at the applicant’s expense. Not responding to this RFP does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued.

CalMHSA is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the third round of the Tulare County Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Grant Program. In June 2023, CalMHSA — in partnership with Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), Mental Health Branch — awarded agencies with awards of $25,000. Awarded programs focused on mental health stigma reduction, access and linkage to community resources, and community outreach. The third cycle of the Tulare County PEI Grant Program will focus on developing and implementing a suicide prevention program, special event, or series of events that increase awareness, provide resources, and build supportive communities to reduce the incidence of suicide during the month of September in support of Suicide Prevention Month.
All grant applications must be submitted to the CalMHSA e-procurement portal by Aug. 9, 2024.
Tulare County HHSA Mental Health Branch, seeks proposals from mission- oriented, diverse, innovative partner organizations to support their movement in activating organizations and individuals to promote mental health awareness and well-being. With available grant funds, organizations will engage diverse communities to promote mental health awareness and well-being and foster community connection and help address contributing factors to mental health needs.
Grant proposals should focus on decreasing stigma and discrimination associated with mental health, increasing help seeking behaviors, increasing awareness and access to mental health services and resources, or any activities that address one or more of the MHSA PEI identified negative effects of untreated mental illness. The grant term is currently scheduled from Sept. 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.

CalMHSA is excited to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Sutter and Yuba Counties Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Grant Program. CalMHSA, in partnership with Sutter-Yuba County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) Behavioral Health Division, will provide agencies with awards of up to $7,500. Please note: This RFP will be available beginning July 1, and a Bidders Conference will also be held July 1.
Awarded programs must focus on mental health stigma reduction; access and linkage to community resources; community outreach; create access to mental health resources; and facilitate community events that target Sutter and Yuba counties’ key populations by creating equitable programs that meet community members where they are. All grant applications must be submitted to the CalMHSA e-procurement portal, Bonfire, by July 31.

The grant is currently scheduled from Sept. 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. Grant amounts range from $2,500 up to $7,500 per awardee.
