CalMHSA Presumptive Transfer Portal Meets AB 1051 Requirements
Key staff: David Avetissian, CFO
CalMHSA’s Presumptive Transfer Portal is now fully enabled to meet the requirements of Assembly Bill 1051. Counties that wish to begin using this feature can simply log into the portal.
The Presumptive Transfer Portal offers an intuitive, secure and centralized billing solution between California counties serving presumptively transferred clients. Participating counties enter into a single Participation Agreement with CalMHSA rather than separate agreements with all other counties.
Other benefits:
- Simplified operations: Counties can easily initiate, approve, track and manage billing transactions with other participating counties.
- Cost savings: Reduced administrative costs, allowing counties to allocate resources more effectively
- Improved cash flow: Fewer delayed payments with an expedited billing process and payment settlements
- Enhanced accuracy and transparency: Automated calculations, periodic account reconciliation and monthly reporting, and reduced risk of billing errors. Transactions can be tracked in real-time, ensuring accountability and creating trust among participating counties.
- Supportive collaboration: Counties can share best practices, exchange knowledge and establish efficient financial workflows.
