County behavioral health departments prove their commitment every day to helping Californians gain access to the care they deserve – even as demand for behavioral health services has outpaced workforce recruitment. To assist counties with their staffing needs, CalMHSA has partnered with a Joint Commission agency whose primary focus is identifying staff to meet the needs of public psychiatric care facilities.
This program gives counties access to both temporary and permanent in-person and remote clinical staffing. Counties are able to purchase clinical hourly staff time for 17 identified clinical positions, for both short-term and long-term program needs.
